Join in a day of learning and discussion with fellow educators, gaining a fresh perspective on gender equity in STEM and how to encourage and support girls in the classroom:
Hear about the current status of women in STEM fields and the role of education in making change
Share personal experiences of successes and challenges in the classroom
Gain a new perspective on strategies to increase participation of females in STEM courses and careers
Participate in a marine science field investigation as a teaching model to engage female learners
Hear about the history of "scientific sexism", gender and neurology, and the challenges of gender equity in STEM
