Resident Internships at Coastal Studies for Girls offer recent college graduates and college students leadership opportunities and learning experiences in a supportive, all-girls residential community.

Internship Benefits
Internships are a wonderful way to gain valuable, hands-on work experience and expand your resume. You'll have the opportunity to live and work in a supportive residential community and practice leadership, residential life, outdoor education and educational support skills. Living on the beautiful Maine coast, you’ll participate in field trips to explore the state. We’ll have you out kayaking, camping, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, conducting in-the-field marine science research, and visiting important cultural and educational institutions.
Internship Responsibilities and Compensation
Internships are available for the Spring and Fall terms. The major responsibilities of the Resident Assistant include living and working at CSG for a full 17 week fall or spring semester supervising students and assisting the Head Resident, Faculty and Staff with all school programming and activities. SCHEDULE: Full time residential
Fall Term position runs August 23-December 21, 2010
Spring Term position runs February 6-June 7, 2011

JOB OBJECTIVES: Coastal Studies for Girls is a residential science and leadership semester school for tenth grade girls in Freeport, Maine. The major responsibilities of the Resident Assistant include living and working at CSG for a full 17 week fall or spring semester supervising students and assisting the Head Resident, Faculty and Staff with all school programming and activities.

Compensation:
Stipend and full room and board at the Coastal Studies for Girls campus in Freeport, Maine for a full semester; academic support/supervision if the candidate is seeking to earn academic credit for the internship as part of an undergraduate degree program
Work Commitment:
17 week minimum commitment (student semester plus pre-term orientation/planning and post-term cleanup and evaluation)
Time off daily and weekly to be negotiated
