The pioneer class has graduated!
The thirteen pioneers
 |
Coastal Studies for Girls celebrated the graduation of its pioneer class on June 3rd and 4th. Students, from Maine and around the country, offered their "Exhibitions of Learning" -- science project presentations, humanities essays, poems, monologues and exquisite artwork -- to over 100 friends, family members and the community. Their learnings were tangible evidence of a very successful first semester and you can view examples of the girls' outstanding work here.
We already miss this stellar group of young women, yet look forward to hearing about their next adventures. Learn more about the graduation ceremonies and view pictures here.

| Time Warner Cable makes $100,000 matching challenge grant to Coastal Studies for Girls
Maine Women's Fund steps up to the challenge
Thank you Time Warner!
 |
We are deeply grateful to Time Warner Cable for awarding a grant for our science programming. The grant is a challenge to CSG to raise $100,000 in matching funds for scholarships. "Scholarships for Science" will be used to attract highly motivated, potential future leaders.
Since then, the Maine Women's Fund awarded a $5,000 grant to support scholarships for deserving Maine girls. We're on our way to doubling the impact for young women in Maine and across the country, thanks to our generous donors.
