The Mission of Coastal Studies for Girls is to:

Provide high school sophomore girls an opportunity to excel in science and technology in a community committed to academic, experiential and inspirational learing;

Engage its students in scientific inquiry, leadership development, critical thinking and stewardship while developing their educational and career aspirations;

Create a community of students and staff which is ethnically, geographically, and socioeconomically diverse and that celebrates everyone's unique success.

Faculty/Administration

CSG brings together a community of dedicated, dynamic, professional educators who manifest those ideals set forward in the above mission statement. All CSG courses will be offered by a carefully chosen faculty who exemplify best current practice in their chosen field.

Seven full-time academic faculty will serve our student population of 25-30 students each semester in addition to graduate school interns and scholars-in-residence. Two full-time administrators, the Executive Director and the Director of Education, will support the faculty
