Solo

Most mornings, rain, sleet, snow or shine, we begin the day by walking a short distance and spending 20 minutes in quiet contemplation overlooking the shores of Casco Bay. Students reflect on their own growth while watching the tidal movements and changing foliage, they sketch, listen, watch and wonder in whichever way in meaningful to them. Upon reflecting on their semester, many CSG alumna report that the morning activity of “Solo” had the most lasting impact on them and that the experience of calmly approaching a day was a gift that they cherish and carry with them even when they return to the hectic pace of high school life.
